Jaali Café opened in November 2015 and has quickly become a favourite on the Patnem scene. We’ve earned a reputation for consistently serving delicious, innovative, fresh and beautifully presented food.

Friends L-J (chef and restaurant consultant) and Kate (food enthusiast) have designed and created a wonderful diverse menu.  Our food is influenced by Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines, but we use locally available fresh produce. Sagar and Dorje run a dedicated kitchen staff, Manju seats you and rustles up the bill and Arjun mixes your drink or delivers the espresso shot you really need.   

We cater for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and meat-eaters equally. And since our food relies on simple, creative combinations of ingredients we can easily re-invent most of our non-veg dishes as vegetarian or vegan. Every week new specials are introduced too, so if you’re in the area long term, there’s no chance to get bored with what’s on offer.  Even fussy children keep on coming back for our plates.

In 2018 we built a beautiful bar from which we serve delicious coffees, a carefully selected wine list and fabulous cocktails. The café is open six days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mondays we take a break and replenish, ready for the week ahead. During peak season, December and January, evening reservations are essential. Saturday night usually sees an impromptu party with a DJ and a screen is rolled down for an open-air cinema every Thursday night.

The venue can also be booked for private occasions; have your birthday party or any-reason celebration in our charming garden.
